Solution
Through my partnership with Product Design, and involvement in consumer research panels, I took the lead on designing the entire landing page experience for Yahoo Finance users that would be invited to the beta release.
For the marketing campaign, my concept was a half open green/purple glowing laptop, which hinted at a new era of Yahoo Finance that would include a new homepage layout, increased customization, and new branding.
Challenge
Create a marketing campaign that teases the release of a new redesign of Yahoo Finance experience for desktop users.
Partner with Product Design team to create a comprehensive landing page that encourages Yahoo Finance users to opt-in to the new redesigned experience.
Results
In partnership with my trusted Marketing Managers, along with Product Design, Animators, Copywriters, and Engineers, we smashed first month expectations for this beta launch.
Leveraging AI
To address the need for in-situ screen mockups, I used generative AI to build a collection of imagery that illustrated different environments, devices, and times of day with a consistent look + feel.
Marketing Approach
To build anticipation for a premium new experience, I used AI to craft sleek, attention-grabbing visuals that elevated our paid media and OOH presence. Bold headlines teased what was coming, while subtle creative cues—like a green screen glow—hinted at Yahoo Finance’s evolving brand identity. The result: intrigue, clarity, and a strong visual signal that change was on the way.
